Overview

Nestled in the heart of Craigieburn, Manoush w Saj is a gem for anyone craving authentic Middle Eastern flavors. This restaurant offers a warm, inviting space where tradition meets freshness in every bite. Known especially for their Manoush—thin, soft flatbreads topped with vibrant ingredients—and Saj, a kind of Lebanese pressed bread, this spot presents a refreshing take on breakfast and brunch.

The menu shines with its variety, balancing classics such as Za’atar and Cheese Saj with more indulgent options like Sujuk Pizza and the flavorful Cheese Pie made with traditional Haloumi. What stands out most is the falafel—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and bursting with herbs and spices, it has been praised consistently for its authenticity and rich taste. Complementing this are wraps filled with Labneh or fresh vegetables, and lighter offerings like the Labneh Pizza, which layers creamy yogurt with fresh cucumber, tomato, and mint, delivering a delicate yet punchy experience.

The culinary craftsmanship here is deeply rooted in Middle Eastern heritage, skillfully blending classic ingredients into dishes that bring together boldness and comfort. Customer stories often highlight the generosity of portion sizes and how the food evokes memories of “mama’s cooking,” a rare compliment that speaks to the true soulfulness of the kitchen. This connection is amplified by the approachable and caring service team, including chef Em Khalil, whose presence ensures every plate reflects both passion and precision.

Manoush w Saj not only caters to seasoned fans of Middle Eastern cuisine but also welcomes newcomers eager to explore its diverse and satisfying breakfast traditions. The atmosphere facilitates meaningful meals whether you’re fueling up for a day of adventure or sharing a relaxed brunch with friends. The location, conveniently accessible on Craigieburn Road, makes it an ideal destination for local families and food enthusiasts alike.

In all, the experience at Manoush w Saj balances memorable tastes with heartfelt hospitality. From the perfectly baked pies and flavorful flatbreads to the rich, delicious falafel and honest, fresh ingredients, this restaurant excels in delivering a comprehensive and authentic Middle Eastern dining adventure. I've eaten here several times and the food has always been scrumptious and filling. I most recently visited yesterday with three Indonesian friends, as I was keen to introduce them to some traditional Middle Eastern breakfast. We had the Zaatar, Open Cheese, Sujuk Pizza, Mhamara and the 15pc Falafel Plate, along with a pot of black tea. I knew everything that I selected would be great, but I was delighted to see just how much my friends loved the food, especially the falafel. Crew here is so warm and friendly, had a nice chat with Nassim which just added to the visit. Portion sizes are generous, everything is fresh and reminds me of mama's cooking. Highly recommend Manoush w Saj to anyone who loves their breakfast/brunch. Whether you're a seasoned lover of Middle Eastern food or are wanting to try a new breakfast option, you won't go wrong here. Thank you, Nassim and team, for helping my Indo friends fall in love with some of my favourite cuisine and matching (hmm, imore accurate if I say EXCEEDING) the hype I created for the visit. I'll of course always be a returning customer, but my most recent visit solidifies my decision to make Manoush w Saj the place my friends and I choose to enjoy a hearty and nourishing meal, before we set out on an adventure for the day. It's hard to pick a favourite, but I've gotta emphasise that the falafel here is especially good. Classics are done very well, and I'm keen to try more options on the menu when I visit in the future. See you soon! Sampai jumpa lagi, teman2 ;)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We visited this restaurant just an hour ago, and the experience was absolutely amazing! The food was so fresh and flavorful. Im Iraqi and honestly some of the best we’ve ever had. The chef herself came out to check if everything was good, and she prepared the most delicious masabha, foul, and falafel with her assistants. Even my kids, who usually don’t eat these dishes, loved every bite and enjoyed it so much. The service was perfect. the whole team served us with big smiles and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely rate this place 10/10 and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try authentic, tasty food with outstanding service. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our visit so special! Thanks guys for the service.

If you're looking for an unforgettable meal, this place is the spot! The zaatar and cheese pie is an absolute standoutcrispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The pies in general are fantastic, each bite filled with deliciousness. The falafel? Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. And don't even get me started on the msabhaeverything is just incredible! What really sets this place apart, though, is the chef, Em Khalil. She's not only a culinary genius, but she genuinely cares about her customers' experience. Her attention to detail and passion for what she does is evident in every dish. You can tell she puts her heart into it! All in all, I’d rate this place a solid 10/10. The food, the service, the atmosphereit’s all amazing. Highly recommend!

I ordered a surprise bag on TooGoodToGo, but unfortunately, it was sold out. Still, I really wanted to try it, so I went to the place, though I arrived a bit late. Luckily, I got to taste two delicious breads—one with spinach and cheese, and the other was probably beetroot. The bread was soft, fragrant, and chewy, and when toasted, it gave off an irresistible aroma . This was my first time trying it, and I’ll definitely be back to purchase again and taste different dishes next time!

Manoush w Saj... Very pleasant breakfast here. I had the big breakfast which came with scrambled eggs, halloumi cheese, zataar, olives, cucumber, tomatoes, and labneh, all with a drizzle of olive oil. Everything was very fresh and enjoyable. The Iraqi samoon bread is nice and fluffy— if only they could serve it piping hot it would be amazing. Enjoy
